The application of DLP large-screen edge fusion technology originated from analog simulation/three-dimensional theater systems. It was created to meet people's needs for bright, large pictures, pure colors and high-resolution display effects. This technology has significant characteristics in increasing the picture, improving brightness and resolution.
  1. ultra-high resolution
    By using an image processor and computer with multi-channel high-resolution output, composite images of three or more channels with 1600x1200 pixels per channel can be generated. If 25% of the pixels are fused, you can also produce a 4000x1200 resolution image by subtracting excess overlapping pixels. There is currently no stand-alone display on the market that can operate at such high resolution. The solution is to use a matrix of projectors, each projector running at its maximum resolution, and the resultant resolution is the sum of the pixels in the overlapping areas subtracted.
  2. Shorten projection distance
    With the emergence of DLP seamless splicing technology, shortening the projection distance has become inevitable. For example, for the original 200-inch (4000x3000mm) screen, if no physical and optical stitching is required, we can only use one projector, projection distance = lens focal length x screen width, and optical angle lens is 1.2: 1. Our projection distance is also 4.8 meters. Now, we have adopted fused edge technology. The same picture has no various seam marks, and our distance only needs 2.4 meters.
  3. Projection imaging on a specially shaped screen
    When projecting pictures on a cylindrical or spherical DLP large screen, a single projector requires a long projection distance to cover the entire screen. The combination of multiple projectors can not only make the projected picture larger and shorten the projection distance, but also shorten the arc-chord distance to as small as possible, which is a better choice for image resolution, brightness and concentration.
  4. Increase the layering of the picture
    Due to the use of edge fusion technology, the resolution and brightness of the picture are enhanced. At the same time, with the high-quality projection screen, the layering and expressiveness of the entire display system can be significantly enhanced.
  5. Increase image size and picture integrity
    The picture projected by multiple projectors must be larger in size than the picture projected by a single projector. Bright and beautiful pictures can bring people an extraordinary visual impact. In addition, the picture spliced using seamless edge fusion technology ensures the perfection of the picture and color consistency to a large extent.
  6. increase resolution
    Each projector projects a portion of the entire image, which improves the resolution of the image displayed. For example, the physical resolution of one projector is 800x600. After the three projectors are merged by 25%, the resolution of the image becomes 2000x600.
