On December 15, 2025, Peng Shuanglang, Chairman of AUO Optronics and Fucai Investment Control, attended related activities of the Taipei City Computer Association and expressed his core views on the prospects of industrial operations in 2026. He said that the momentum of AI-related industries is expected to continue to be released next year, and the overall information and communications industry can still remain optimistic. However, it is necessary to be vigilant about potential challenges such as geopolitics, so we still need to be cautious about the development of the industry. From the perspective of long-term development trends, the penetration rate of AI technology in future life and business operations will continue to increase and become an indispensable core support. In response to the current problem that high memory prices may affect the buying trend of terminal products, Peng Shuanglang revealed that he will pay close attention to the price increase of terminal products in the future to judge changes in market demand.

In the last half of 2025, Peng Shuanglang pointed out when looking forward to next year's operations that the core driving force of the communications industry in 2025 comes from the comprehensive empowerment of the new wave of AI, from semiconductor chips and server hardware to various AI terminal applications, the entire industry chain has benefited significantly. He predicts that this positive momentum is expected to continue in 2026, and the general trend of continued vigorous development of the AI industry will not change. This can be seen from the popularity of booth bookings at the 2026 Computex exhibition.

When talking about the opportunities and challenges in the electronics industry, Peng Shuanglang made it clear that although he is confident in the long-term prospects of the information and communications industry, he still needs to face multiple challenges in the short term. Among them, geopolitical risks are particularly worthy of vigilance, which is also the key reason for companies to be cautious about layout. Regarding the issue of rising memory prices, which is of great concern to the market, he analyzed that the sharp rise in memory prices this time will inevitably be transmitted to the price of terminal products, and whether it will ultimately lead to consumers reducing their purchase demand depends on the price increase of terminal products. If the price increase range is controlled within a range acceptable to consumers, it is expected that it will not have much impact on market demand.

During the event, Peng Shuanglang also responded to questions about whether the Taipei City Computer Association would participate in the Electricity and Electricity Association's plans to promote industrial settlements to the United States and create a bamboo-like industry ecosystem. He said that Taiwanese enterprises go global and form a cluster effect overseas, relying on unity to enhance international competitiveness. This direction is worthy of recognition and happy to see its success, but relevant matters have not yet entered the formal negotiation stage.

Peng Shuanglang further pointed out that Taiwanese companies have completed long-term deployment in the Southeast Asian market in the past few years. Looking to the future, in addition to the supply manufacturing layout in the United States, this regional industrial cluster model is expected to be gradually promoted in other regions to form a new form of regional economic development. In this context, no matter where companies are, they need to actively adapt to the more global layout rhythm to cope with the increasingly complex market environment and industrial competition.
