Zhaochi Semiconductor joins hands with Li Xing Semiconductor. Want to do big things?

Recently, Jiangxi Zhaochi Semiconductor Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Zhaochi Semiconductor) and Suzhou Lekin Semi (hereinafter referred to as Liyu Semiconductor) reached a patent licensing agreement in the field of LED chips.

It is understood that this is the decision of Zhaochi Semiconductor and Lichao Semiconductor to conclude a long-term and stable patent strategic partnership based on their high recognition of their respective corporate cultures and business concepts, as well as their outstanding advantages in their respective fields, and plan to cooperate with each other in the future. Efforts will be made to expand the depth and breadth of cooperation between the two parties in business-related fields.

It is worth mentioning that the scope of this patent license agreement not only includes hundreds of global LED chip core patents, but also covers the United States, Europe, Japan and South Korea, the mainland of China, China Taiwan and other countries and regions. The scope of patent protection includes PSS substrate, LED epitaxial structure, LED chip structure and other fields. It can comprehensively cover all LED chip core technologies, protecting the patents of Zhaochi Semiconductor's LED chip products while avoiding infringement risks.

As a cutting-edge company in the domestic semiconductor field, Liyu Semiconductor successfully bid to acquire the assets of South Korea's LG Optoelectronics Compound Semiconductor Division in March 2021. The acquisition covers nearly 10,000 global patents related to GaN and GaAs technology.

Lili has an internationally leading optoelectronic compound semiconductor technology platform (including GaN, GaAs, etc.) and a high-value patent portfolio covering the entire industry chain of epitaxy, chips, packaging, modules, applications, etc., covering the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and the mainland of China, China Taiwan and other countries and regions. Its main products include automotive LED chips, ultraviolet LED chips, infrared lasers (VCSEL), etc.

In contrast, Zhaochi Semiconductor, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shenzhen Zhaochi Co., Ltd., is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research and development and production of LED epitaxial wafers and chips. Its products cover gallium nitride (GaN) blue-green and gallium arsenide (GaAs) red-yellow full-color LED chips, and its product applications fully cover the three major LED chip fields of semiconductor lighting, RGB display and backlight.

Zhaochi Semiconductor has always been deeply aware of the importance of intellectual property rights, and at the same time attaches great importance to intellectual property protection. It has independently applied for more than 500 domestic and foreign patents, and has now obtained nearly 300 authorized patents.
