LG's 136-inch Micro LED display makes its first public appearance

On June 13, LG Electronics recently announced that its next-generation microled display will be unveiled to the public for the first time at the InfoComm 2024 Professional Audiovisual Trade Show from the 12th to the 14th of this month.

LG said its new generation of 136-inch MicroLED displays consists of 25 million micro LED chips approximately 27 microns long and 16 microns wide, providing excellent contrast, bold colors and excellent display details.

The new display also has a built-in AI processor from LG, which can analyze the brightness and color tone of each LED chip in real time, and achieve the best level of display image quality through automatic calibration.

LG confirmed that a new generation of MicroLED displays is scheduled to be launched by the end of this year.

LG also simultaneously demonstrated a new generation of LG MAGNIT integrated display solution based on a 136-inch MicroLED screen.

The solution has passed TV low-blue and low-gray display performance tests and is equipped with built-in controllers and speakers. LG claims it is ideal for use in offices and conference rooms.

The refresh rate of the new generation LG MAGNIT has increased from 120Hz in the previous generation to 144 Hz.

At this exhibition, LG also demonstrated 171-inch LED signage and 105-inch digital signage displays. These 21:9 ultra-large screen displays are suitable for video teleconferencing and can simultaneously display more video sources or data information.
