Today, the "Focus Interview" column of China Central Radio and Television Station focused on the outstanding contribution of the national strategic scientific and technological forces in key core technology research in the special program "Determined to Innovate and Serve the Country with Science and Technology" on the National Science and Technology Workers Day. General Manager Dr. Huang Xiuqi, as a representative of leading scientific and technological talents, was invited to share his extraordinary journey of leading his team to promote Micro-LED technology innovation and industrialization.
Chenxian Optoelectronics, located in Chengdu High-tech Zone, as an outstanding representative enterprise in the domestic new display field, has successfully developed a number of world-first Micro-LED products, which shine brightly in the industry. Among them, the 135-inch P0.7 TFT-based Micro-LED splicing screen and the 88-inch P0.5 TFT-based Micro-LED splicing screen have established a new benchmark for high-end display products with their excellent characteristics such as high brightness, high contrast, wide color gamut, long life, low power consumption and seamless splicing. In addition, the P0.5 TFT-based Micro-LED transparent screen opens up a new imagination space for display applications with its unique high transparency; the TFT-based Micro-LED texture screen meets the aesthetic needs of diverse scenes through innovative design. These products are widely used in high-end display scenarios such as command and dispatch, cultural tourism exhibitions, smart conferences, and home theaters, fully demonstrating China's cutting-edge strength in the field of next-generation display technology.

In the program, Dr. Huang Xiuqi affectionately recalled the arduous journey of the team's efforts to tackle Micro-LED projects since 2017. At that time, global Micro-LED technology was still in the exploration stage, the technical route was not yet clear, and relevant research was almost blank. Under Visionox's forward-looking strategic layout, Dr. Huang Xiuqi led his team resolutely into this no-man's land full of unknowns and embarked on a difficult journey of exploration. Faced with the world-class technical problem of the massive transfer of Micro-LED chips, Dr. Huang Xiuqi vividly compared it: This is like transporting a lawn the size of a football field to another venue accurately and completely, and every grass cannot be messed up.& quot; With perseverance, the team went through tens of thousands of experiments and continued to carry out technical challenges. Finally, it took the lead in overcoming core technical problems such as massive transfer and seamless splicing of Micro-LED, and successfully opened the way from laboratory to industrialization. One kilometer laid a solid foundation for the commercial application of Micro-LED technology.

With the strong support of Chengdu High-tech Zone, Chenxian Optoelectronics was officially established in 2020. Since its establishment four years ago, the company has developed rapidly and successfully completed the entire process transformation from technical verification, production line construction to product mass production. It has become the first company in the mainland of China to realize large-scale application of TFT-based Micro-LED display technology. Up to now, Chenxian Optoelectronics has applied for more than 1100 patents, and has taken the lead in formulating the world's first international standard for Micro-LED displays, playing an important leading role in promoting technological progress and standardized development in the industry.
