Interview with 52DP Youping.com: Pete's colorful career in Barco

52DP Understanding Screen Network: Today we have the honor to invite Mr. Peter Deprez, who has a rich career in Barco. Pete, let's say hello to everyone first.
Pete Deprez: Hello everyone, I am very happy to be here to share my experience with you.

Pete Deprez: Of course. One of my proudest moments was participating in U2 's zoo tour project. We have developed a projector specially for their tour, and it's really unique to be able to participate in such a high-profile project. There is also the recent construction of hardware for a counterterrorism center in the Middle East, a challenging project that has built a fully operational unit from scratch in just a few months.
52DP Understanding Screen Network: Over the years, technology must have changed a lot, right?
Pete Deprez: Yes, it has changed a lot. When I first started working, through-hole components were used on printed circuit boards, but now we use surface mount components, which makes electronic products denser and more complex.
52DP: Are there any factors that have played a particularly important role in your career?
Pete Deprez: Networking is very important to me. While working in different departments, I have met many people, and this network has always helped me efficiently find the right people to solve problems.
52DP Understanding Screen Network: What advice do you have for people who have just entered this industry?

We have a unique training center that we need to use to expand our knowledge. The more we learn, the easier it will be to progress.
52DP: What made you work in Barco for so many years?
Pete Deprez: It's opportunity, a belief in exploration, and continued growth. And Barco is so close to my home that I can commute by bike, which is a great way to clear my mind. This is a great place to work, combining convenience with career development.
