Between 2020 and 2023, a large number of dead lights appeared in the indoor and outdoor displays produced by the company, and the proportion of failures far exceeded The normal standards of the industry not only bring huge economic losses to purchasers, but also pose potential safety hazards.

The compensation of 8000 yuan is not even enough!" rdquo; However, the manufacturer has always been perfunctory, prevaricating only on the grounds that the loss has passed the warranty period and is within the normal range. In the new project of Yancheng Mechanical and Electrical Higher Vocational and Technical School, a purchase of an LED display worth 3.3 million yuan has caused controversy due to suspected three-no products. Although the project has not yet explicitly mentioned whether the display screen has specific quality problems such as dead lights, combined with past cases, its potential quality risks have attracted widespread attention.​

Recently, Wang Shuhao, the person in charge of Jiangsu Dinghao Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., sent a "Help Letter" to AsiaNews Agency, asking for assistance in solving the above-mentioned 3.3 million LED display problems. In order to promote the progress of the incident, Wang Shuhao also made a special trip to Nanjing and other places to visit Yang Hong, editor-in-chief of the Asian News Agency's "China News" and known as the Jiangnan hero, hoping to safeguard his legitimate rights and interests through media supervision.

Looking back on the incident, in August 2022, Jiangsu Dinghao Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Jiangsu Dinghao Construction Company) purchased LED products for the new construction project of Yancheng Mechanical and Electrical Higher Vocational Education through Dai Zhigang of Yancheng Xinyue Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. The contract was signed on August 7, specifying that the total price was 3.3 million yuan, and it was noted that the products must meet the bidding parameter requirements. Subsequent communication confirmed that this batch of products should be Sansi brand products produced by Shanghai Sansi Electronic Engineering Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Sansi). However, after the products arrived, Jiangsu Dinghao Construction Company found many compliance problems: the lack of production license numbers and mandatory certification marks stipulated by the state (For example, CCC certification, Note: Some LED products used indoors do not require CCC certification); there are no quality certificates, seals or logos, and not even the most basic certificate labels; the product name, manufacturer name and address are not clearly marked in Chinese on the product packaging, which completely does not comply with the basic requirements of the Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China for regular products.

Faced with the supervision unit's clear doubts about product qualifications, although Dai Zhigang of Yancheng Xinyue Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. provided some supporting materials and arranged for Kang Yonglong, a person wearing a Shanghai Sansi work permit, to go to the scene to explain, he did not completely resolve the qualification dispute. What troubled Jiangsu Dinghao Construction Company even more was that although problems such as dead lights were not explicitly mentioned after product installation, other quality failures frequently occurred. In November 2023, the company repeatedly contacted Manager Li Xiwang and regional leader Kang Yonglong through Shanghai Sansi 400 telephone number to negotiate a quality problem handling plan, but never received an effective response. In order to fix the evidence, Jiangsu Dinghao Construction Company has entrusted the notary office to seal the LED unit boards on site.​

It is worth mentioning that Shanghai Sansi Electronics, the brand involved, is well-known in the industry. According to its official website, the company was founded in 1993 and has grown from a small team of more than ten people to a large-scale LED technology enterprise with more than 2500 employees and three major R & D and production bases with a total area of more than 360,000 square meters. It has long been involved in LED display screens, LED lighting and system integration solutions are at the forefront of the industry. Its products are widely used, from securities displays and traffic displays to indoor and outdoor full-color screens and small-spacing displays. It has served thousands of large-scale projects at home and abroad. In Times Square in New York alone, more than 70 Sansi displays have been installed. Screen, the final assembly screen area exceeds 12000 square meters, accounting for half of the local market, and has a remarkable reputation in the industry.

In response to this incident, Yang Hong combined the case of Xiamen Mouli Moucai and existing evidence analysis and pointed out that there are three problems with 3.3 million LED displays. Even if quality failures such as dead lights are not clearly identified, they no longer meet product compliance requirements. Judging from similar cases in the past, it is speculated that there may be two situations in this incident: one is that the supplier colluded with relevant personnel of the company to play a duet, secretly using cheap products from other companies to pass off as Sansi brand, earning huge margin profits; the other is that the manufacturer substitutes inferior products and produces substandard products. However, judging from Shanghai Sansi's development history and industry status, it is unlikely that it will proactively commit self-damaging behavior, and there may be deeper hidden feelings behind the incident.
