"My first day in Barco was very busy. People often say that when you join Barco, you have to jump into it immediately, and that was the case 26 years ago. I initially worked as a technical documentwriter in the avionics department. My colleague was about to take maternity leave and had been pregnant for a long time. We only worked together for a few days, and then I had to take over her job. I remember to come for the final round of interviews and sign the contract. They asked me if I could start working the next day, so I came. It was deep into it from the beginning, but everything is definitely going well because I'm still here. We are talking to Andy Demetz, Barco Laboratory's external R &D and innovation program coordinator.
In my opinion, multi-perspective display and artificial intelligence are among the most important technological advances. These are transformative not only for Barco, but also for the entire industry and even mankind. As a member of Barco Laboratory, I have witnessed many trends come and go, but these advances are truly exciting.
Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to lead a number of international projects in which Barco serves as partner and project leader. One of the proudest moments was receiving an award for an international ITEA project. It is an honor to represent Barco and see that our work is recognized by the industry. There have been many proud moments in my 26 years here, but this one stands out.

巴可的工作文化发生了重大变化。A major change was the move to this new building, which has a very relaxed atmosphere with a lot of natural light. Another important change is the focus on diversity and inclusiveness.
When I first started working, decision-making roles were mainly white men, but now we are a multicultural company both in name and spirit, which is very positive.

The most valuable lesson I learned at Barco was to expect surprises. Change is not always a bad thing, it can lead to innovation. Trusting your colleagues is crucial. Barco has many great people who are knowledgeable and willing to help each other. You are not alone, you don't have to do everything alone. Ask for help when you need it and everything will be okay.

My advice for new employees is to be patient and take it step by step. Bako is a big company and cannot know everything at first. Building your network and engaging with people will help you a lot.
I participated in many activities in Barco outside of my job. I am a member of the emergency team, a party committee member, and a union representative. I like to be with people and help my colleagues. It's satisfying work and what keeps me motivated.& quot;
