TV OLED shipments are expected to fall by 12%, and sales are expected to fall by 15%. In addition, OLED shipments and sales required for augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), automobiles, notebooks, displays and tablets are expected to grow.
In terms of smartphone OLED, it is expected to account for 77% of shipments and 78% of sales in the entire OLED market this year. Smartwatch OLED is expected to account for 15% of shipments and 5% of sales.
In terms of panel manufacturers 'predictions for OLED performance, Samsung shows that it is also expected to maintain its No. 1 position this year. Compared with the previous year, Samsung shows that this year's display and automotive OLED shipments are expected to achieve triple-digit growth. Samsung shows it will supply OLEDs for all four Apple iPhone 15 series this year. Samsung shows that its share of the iPhone 15 OLED market is expected to be 60%.
LG Display is expected to increase its overall OLED market share from 20% last year to 21% this year. LG Display's expected market share in the iPhone 15 series is 22%. LG Display only provides OLEDs to the Pro series of the iPhone 15 series. When the iPhone 14 series last year, the market share was higher than 17%.
LG Display's market share in the display OLED market this year is expected to be 35%(based on shipments) and 35%(based on sales). LG Display's share of the TV OLED market is estimated at 85% based on shipments and 81% based on sales.
BOE's OLED sales share is expected to increase from 9% last year to 13% this year. In the iPhone 15 series, BOE's share is estimated at 18%. Compared with last year, DSCC explained that in the iPhone 15 series, BOE has increased the number of OLED-equipped models to two, the regular model and the Plus model. Last year, BOE's share of the iPhone 14 series was 10%.
